Almost 13 years ago, we had a "weed" problem - Tribulus terrestris, also known as goat's head.
These spiny seeds (pictured above) have been traditionally used in Chinese and Indian Ayurveda medicine for hundreds of years.
However, when you happen upon one (or many) of them in your lawn, they can be a real pain in the... foot!
Thankfully, one of our herbalist friends clued us in to its medicinal nature and encouraged us to research this fascinating plant. So, we embraced the spiny little guys and started selling them...

So many plants that are now considered "weeds" were once widely used for a variety of medicinal purposes. We learned that our prejudice against some of the less attractive plants has only resulted in us losing important plant-based knowledge.
